Vistas and Panoramas

This project explored the reasons for and legacies of the great interest in the aesthetic and picturesque qualities of the Down to the Coast landscape during the 18th and 19th centuries. Working with local art societies, heritage groups and school and college students the project followed four themes. Follow the links to the left for more details on each theme.

Download the project reports and illustrated booklets from the Arts and Architecture section of our Library.
